Full Spectrum Therapy is owned and run by Milan Przulj, certified practising speech pathologist (CPSP) and member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Milan holds a Master of Speech Pathology degree from Macquarie University and a BA in Linguistics from the University of New South Wales.

Milan has experience working with children and their families in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. He has a particular passion and skill set for working with people on the autism spectrum, following his 2-year school-based role with Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect). He currently works part time as a Clinical Educator/Associate Lecturer at Sydney University's Communication Disorders Treatment and Research Clinic (CDTRC), and is committed to providing evidence-based intervention by regularly participating in professional development activities offered by the University, Speech Pathology Australia and various external agencies.

The long term mission for Full Spectrum Therapy is to operate as a comprehensive, multidisciplinary service, incorporating speech pathology, occupational therapy, psychology and specialist behaviour support services. The vision is to offer both centre-based and mobile services to children, adolescents and their families, supporting the development of their communication, motor, sensory, educational, social and emotional skills, and facilitating their participation in the full spectrum of activities offered by life.

Assessment

A comprehensive assessment may involve completing multiple tasks in order to determine your child's communication strengths and areas requiring further development. Each assessment is tailored to the individual needs of the child and is based on their and/or their family's reported areas of concern.

Full Spectrum Therapy can provide a comprehensive assessment of your child's:

receptive language (understanding words, sentences, texts, following instructions)

expressive language (using words, grammatical sentences and producing texts)

speech (producing accurate sounds while speaking)

literacy (reading, writing, spelling)

pragmatics (social and play skills)

voice (using appropriate loudness, pitch, nasality, resonance)

stuttering (fluency of speech)

To book an assessment, or to find out more about the assessment process, please contact Milan.

Intervention

Therapy will involve establishing goals with you and when possible, with your child, to support the development of any of the above communication areas. Therapy will be individualised to meet your child's needs, and utilise their strengths and particular learning styles to achieve the set goals.

Depending on the area requiring further development, therapy may involve following a set program (e.g. the Lidcombe Program to treat stuttering in preschoolers) or tailoring a program specific to your child's interests, skill level, sensory profile and learning style.

For more information on how Full Spectrum Therapy can support your child, please contact Milan.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Full Spectrum Therapy is dedicated to providing a comprehensive speech pathology service to children and adolescents with ASD, no matter where they fit on the spectrum.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

AAC may be appropriate for children who have a severe speech sound or language disorder, and who may not be able to express themselves using verbal communication. Full Spectrum Therapy can support you in the assessment, trial and practice phases of AAC intervention, and provide support in relation to the following AAC systems:

- LAMP Words for Life

- Proloquo2Go

- Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)

- Key Word Sign (KWS)

- Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) books

Social Skills

Most people with ASD experience difficulties with social communication. Depending on your child's age and skill level, a social skills program can be developed to support your child to:

- play, share and interact with adults and peers

- use language to fulfill a wide variety of communicative functions (e.g. greet, request, inform, question, reject, comment, recount)

- initiate, extend and end conversations

- read body cues, facial expressions and make inferences about people's thoughts and feelings (developing theory of mind)
